Collita pròpia is a double-CD that arose from a suggestion by Maria del Mar Bonet’s former publisher, BMG, who offered to make an anthology of her songs. She accepted the offer on the condition of taking charge of everything herself, from the selection of the songs to the cover design, with John Ubricht’s picture, distancing herself from chronological order and disregarding the big hits. The original arrangements were maintained, without making a new recording, in order to be able to show the precise evolution. It was, therefore, a very personal anthology that aimed to show the pearls of each record, in her own words.
